Mizspell is a simple tool for generating mispellings of a given word.
Why would you want to do that? Here are some ideas:
- : buy up variants of your site's name and use those mizspell sites to redirect users to your main site.
- : all the good domain names are taken. Web2.0 is all about missing vowels (resizr,retrievr,jangl,ampd...). Get inzpired!
- : weak password generation. If you are going to use something like a dictionary word for a password, at least make sure that it is mizspelled
- : password reminder. You forgot your password but you sort of remember what it is. Get a set of mizspellings. Perhaps you'll see it.
- : Pick up cheap items on eBay and other auction sites
—mizpelled items often go unsold or have very few bids as most users don't find the items when they run a keyword search
